5TH JANUARY, 2021 AT 4.30 PM IN THE COMMON ROOM

MINUTE 6/2020: PRELIMINARIES

The meeting was called to order by the chairperson at 4:30 pm. The members

were appreciated for attending the meeting. Olive Kananu was called upon by the chairperson
to offer a short prayer to open the meeting.

MINUTE 7/2020: READING AND CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES


OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

The minutes of the previous meeting were read through by the secretary. After the reading,
they were proposed by Mejumaa Umazi and seconded by Stella Ivyn Cherotich as a true
reflection of the proceedings of the previous meeting. They were then signed by the chairperson
and the secretary respectively.

MINUTE 8/2020: MATTERS ARISING FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING

MINUTE 3/2020: STARTING A FISH POND

The issue of starting the fish pond had been discussed in the previous meeting
but was not exhausted due to time constraints. Therefore, in this meeting, it was
agreed that a trip would be organized by the club chairperson and the patron to
visit Samaki Ponds in Nyawa so that members would receive proper orientation of
the task ahead.

MINUTE 9/2020: CLUB’S FINANCIAL STATUS

The members were notified by the treasurer that the club’s financial status was
not encouraging because most members had not paid their termly fee contributions. The
members were invited to canvass about the issue. Finally, it was agreed that the members who
had not paid their termly fee should do so before the end of the week.

MINUTE 10/2020: MEMBERS ANNUAL TRIP

The discussion was opened by the chairperson and the members were given chances to ventilate
on the issue which attracted very strong contributions. It was felt by members that indeed it was
worthy for them to have a trip to a renowned farmers training centre in the county. The logistics
coordinator and treasurer were asked by the members to visit several centres and report back to
them in the next meeting.
MINUTE 10/2020: SALE OF FARM PRODUCE
This issue was briefly discussed. It was reported that there were so many food stuffs that had
been harvested by the club. They included maize, beans, peas, onions and ground nuts. After a
lengthy discussion, the chairperson and the treasurer were given the task of looking for good
markets and report back to the members in the next meeting.

MINUTE 11/2020: ANY OTHER BUSINESS


The importance of the members being committed was emphasized by the chairperson. They were
asked to ignore the negative perception that some students have towards the club since it is a very
important segment of our economy. The patron was then invited by the chairperson to address the
members.

The members were advised by the patron to embrace team work and be faithful in submitting their
termly fee contributions. They were also lauded for choosing to belong to such a great and ancient
club. The Deputy Principal was then invited by the patron to address the members.

The Deputy Principal expressed her happiness for the members who had decided to join the club on
its inception.

MINUTE 12/2020: ADJOURNMENT


There being no other issue to be discussed, It was agreed that the next meeting would be held on
29th February, 2020 at 4.30 p.m. at the same venue. Moraa Fentilidah was called upon by the
chairperson to close the meeting with a short prayer.
