B.6) Learning Target: To create accurate scale drawings of enclosures for zoo animals as well as calculate area, surface area, and volume of the enclosures. Warm up give students their exit slips from Tuesdays Lesson have them do a nonstop-write of what they would say now and why their answer is different or how it has stayed the same. Have students get in their zoo groups. Make sure all groups are working on their final drafts DUE AT END OF CLASS PERIOD Give students the majority of the class period to work on the projects. Remind them that their test is tomorrow. Assign a review sheet for homework, and ask a few review questions to the class in a pop quiz fashion but only as an audible formative assessment. During the last 10-15 minutes of class, as the students to write a reflection on the We Built a Zoo project. Ask them to address questions like, how has this helped me relate math to real life, has this helped me with my math skills from this unit, and do I feel like I have a better understanding of what goes into building a zoo? (Collect)
