Anticipatory Set 5 minutes
Class Discussion
Class will look at bell work for a minute or so and think of answer to the
question, why is a food web more realistic than a food web? We will
then discus the answer and its meaning in the next 5 minutes.

Teaching: Activities 25 minutes
Small lecture 10 minutes
I will present the content using a PowerPoint presentation (attached)

In-class Carbon cycling game 15 minutes
Students will have time to work on a carbon cycling game found online.
As they follow along with the game they must write down one fact about
each reservoir that carbon visits. They will also encounter questions
along the course of the game. They must write down six questions they
run into and the answers they gain from them. This will be turned in by
the end of the class to show that the student has played the game and
learned about the carbon cycle in depth.
