Apply a heading style

1. Type the text of your heading, and then select it.


2. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click the heading style that you want. If you don't see the
style that you want, click the More button to expand the Quick Styles gallery.
NOT !ou can see how selected text will look with a particular style by placing your pointer o"er the
style that you want to pre"iew.
NOT If the style that you want does not appear in the #uick $tyles gallery, press %T&'($)I*T($ to open
the Apply Styles task pane. +nder Style Name, type the na,e of the style that you want. The list shows only
those styles that you already used in the docu,ent, but you can type the na,e of any style that is defined for
the docu,ent.

!ou can change the font and for,atting of a heading style.
1. $elect the heading text that you want to custo,i-e.
2. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click the heading style that you want to custo,i-e.

*or exa,ple, you can change the font, the si-e, or the color.
0. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, right1click the heading style that you custo,i-ed, and then
click Update Heading to Match Selection.
