Candles
Due in Wednesday after Labor Day
Pick up times: 9/22: 3 to 6
9/23: 3 to 6
10/8: all day during conferences
Volunteers are needed for candle distribution. Wendy Perilis will coordinate volunteers. Wendy.preilis@gmail.com
Money raised for candle sales goes to the school to support the student activity fund.
Book Fair
November 10 14 in CPI Library
Open during the school day all week. Also open in the evenings on Monday the 10
th
(choir
concert) and Tuesday the 11
th
(band concert). Volunteers needed from 7:30 to 2:30 and 5:30 to
8:30. Heather Bass will work with Sharon Kiser to organize volunteers and run the fair.

FIT
CPI is looking for volunteers to help with 5
th
grade FIT times. These reliable individuals would need to be able to commit
to working every day with a small group of kids during regular school hours. The volunteer hours available are as
follows:
M,T,R,F: 9:55am to 10:37am W: 8:59am to 9:36am
9:10am to 9:52am 9:39am to 10:16am
1:40pm to 2:22pm 1:14pm to 1:51pm
If you are available consistently for any of these time slots, please contact Mr. Saugstad ksaugstad@cpcsc.k12.in to sign
up. A background check will need to be completed.
Fall Conferences
Lisa Sopke lisasopke@talktotucker.com is gathering snacks for teachers during fall conferences. If anyone is interested
in donating, please contact her. Conferences will be held on October 10, 2014. The students do not have school this
day.
Box Tops
Michael Wincel hnewincel@yahoo.com will be organizing the collection of box tops this year. Please look for future
communication from him regarding box top opportunities. The money raised for box tops will go to PTO account this
year.
Donation
The attending members voted to donate $150 to the school to send Mrs. Staley to and award banquet presented by
Riley for the idea of Emmas Art Cart in honor of former CPI student Emma Stumpf.
Other Ideas for PTO activities 2014 2015:
Parent helpers and volunteers for registration 2015-2016
Chili Cook off with teachers donating award winning chili for competition. The idea was to hold this during the
choir and band performances October 10 & 11
th
. The book fair and Star Lab also takes place at this time. $1 to
vote and possibly donated Steak N Shake Chili + nachos and cheese were suggestions for snacks. Contact
Jennifer Giddens jhgiddens@aol.com if you are interested in coordinating this event.
A who do you know data base will be started that will collect community members or corporate partners
specializing in different areas, that may contribute to the school. De Vargo gabberduu@sbcglobal.net will
coordinate.
Add PTO page to website, use social media to promote meetings and calendar.
Pacer Ticket Sales with proceeds going to PTO. Erin Tilley etilley@cpcsc.k12.in.us will be organizing. Jennifer
Giddens will work with Mrs. Tilley.
