My collage evaluation

How does your magazine represent
particular social groups?
My magazine is meant to be aimed at students
who have a broad selection of interests as it
ranges from the actual collage itself, to festival
goers, from convention and cosplayers to film
lovers and gamers. Aiming to give a wide spread
of potentially interesting data for my audience to
take interest in.
the magazine will have many a polysemic
meaning as it combines from the user and
gratifications, entertainment and diversion,
and personal identity.
To identify my audiences interests and lifestyles
I took a questionnaire to gauge what I should
include., too give an accurate rendition for the
target audience a possible grade E to a C.
How did you attract your audience?
By using bright and attractive colours

Specific taglines to gain interests from my niche
market

I chose the pictures specifically and combined the
two to get the best out of the images

Specific interests from a range of vague but popular
entertainment.
What aspects of your work are you
pleased with and why?
The splodge effect on the front cover for my puff or buzz
sticker as it gains your attention straight away by its bright
and vibrant colour.
The cutting and merging of the images and their location
on the canvas, as it gives a more three-dimensional and
stereoscopic look. Giving a more definite appearance of eye
contact to grab the audiences attention via direct gaze
The barcodes location as it takes the location of the key
card instead of the traditional location, as it takes a
different appearance.

What aspects could be improved and
why
The clearness of the how I cut the original image out as in my
opinion it isnt very clear, that and the lighting could have
been a little bit more played about to achieve a better finish,
instead of an finished look.
Spacing of the taglines could have been more open
with a better choice of font as to make it quicker and
easier to read.


the masthead could have been designed better to fill more
of the page, instead of leaving the blank space of white, so
that it doesnt look so empty and spacious or lacking of
content.

and all the many improvements I can learn from this
project for future projects also.
