Wow this term has gone so fast. Here we are at the
end all ready! This is our final newsletter for the term so it is very important that you take note of the dates and events that are coming up because next week is full on! Tomorrow (Friday) - Red As Loud Shirt Day for Brooklyn. Monday - Take a breath nothing on Monday but click cards vouchers are coming home in the afternoon. Tuesday - WOW Matinee Performance at 12.15pm - Please make sure your children have their required gear (you should of received a note from your classroom teachers about what your kids need). Wednesday - Click Card Rewards Day: WOW Evening Performance: Children need to be in their classrooms ready, in their performance clothes by 4.45pm. Mana Class need to be in their classroom by 4.30pm. Thursday - A rest day, whew! Friday - Last day of School!! School closes at 2pm. The Rangitikei Tough Kid Challenge for Year Three to Eight students. Buses are leaving school at 8.45am. REMINDER FOR THOSE ATTENDING OHINGAITI CROSS COUNTRY We are leaving the school at 8.45am tomorrow 19 th
September. Notices I know its early, but can you please start to inform us if you are being posted at the end of the year. We would love to be able to get started on planning for classes for next year. Click Card Dates: Cut off for Click Cards are tomorrow (Friday 19th September). All rewards will be on Wednesday. Vouchers will go home on Monday indicating what if any rewards your child has earned. Unfortunately the swimming pools are closed next week so we will be showing a movie for the Red Reward. Holiday hen helpers needed. If you can help feed our hens over the school holidays, please let Kerry know, even if it is for part of the time. You can feed them scraps from your table, supplemented with hen pellets that are kept in their house. Check their water level too. Bonus: you get to keep the eggs, as long as you leave 1 egg behind in each of their nesting sites. TEACHER ONLY DAYS Big reminder for next term is we have two Teacher Only Days. Friday 14th November and Friday 12th December. Please mark these dates on your calendar as school will be closed to all students on these days. FUN RUN FUNDRAISER All forms and money should have been returned to the school by now. If you havent then please return them asap.

Operation Christmas Child Maybe you have heard of Operation Christmas Child? It allows people in NZ to gather small gifts to send to children in need in South -east Asia and the South Pacific. We are taking this on at school and helping to send 320,000 from NZ and Australia. Please look at the list below and see what you can give. Start giving today, with the cut-off being the first Wednesday back of Term 4. Each class will have their own boxes to fill. Goodies can be dropped off to your class box before school. 6 things to light up the world of a child in need SOMETHING TO LOVE Teddy bear, doll, soft toy, etc. SOMETHING FOR SCHOOL Exercise book, pencil case, pens, pencils, colouring pencils, sharpener, eraser, chalk, etc. SOMETHING TO WEAR T-shirt, shorts, underwear, cap, beanie, sandals etc. SOMETHING TO PLAY WITH Tennis ball, cars, skipping rope, marbles, musical instrument, yo-yo, slinky, finger puppets, wind up torch, etc. (No battery operated items)* SOMETHING FOR PERSONAL HYGIENE Soap and face washer, toothbrush, hairbrush, comb, hair-clips, scrunchies, etc. SOMETHING SPECIAL Carry bag, sunglasses, bangles, necklaces, craft kits, stickers, note or photo of yourself. What not to pack ** ITEMS THAT LEAK OR MELT Including toothpaste, shampoo, bubbles, plasticine/playdough, batteries. FOOD OR LOLLIES Of any kind (due to shipping regulations) including medicines and vitamins. USED OR DAMAGED ITEMS Including clothing and toys. BREAKABLE ITEMS Such as glass, porcelain, mirrors. ITEMS THAT CAN SCARE OR HARM A CHILD Examples are knives, war-related toys and toy guns. GAMBLING-RELATED ITEMS For example, play money and playing cards. ANYTHING OF A RELIGIOUS, RACIAL OR POLITICAL NATURE
