The strike by 1.5 million people in July this
year showed the potential for us to halt the
attacks on our pay, pensions, jobs and public
services.
This week saw hundreds of thousands of
NHS workers and PCS members striking for four
hours against the Tories' pay assault

We need to mobilise for the biggest possible
turnout on the TUC demo on 18 October.
But we also need to step up the pressure from
strikes.
This week has to be the start of the
fightback, not the end of it. We call on the union
leaders to organise a programme of co-ordinated
strikes.
