This letter is in reference to Misty Skidmore. Misty has taught high school and
middle school literature for a year and a half at Lancaster Christian Academy. In
addition, Misty has coached both volleyball and softball.
Misty Skidmore is a vivacious and dynamic teacher. Students excel under her
teaching methods, and she is careful to ensure that the material is covered
thoroughly in her classroom. Misty diversifies instruction and is capable of
incorporating technology in her lessons.
When I step into Mist/s classroom, I notice student work on her walls, a clean
and safe atmosphere, as well as a genuine sense of learning taking place among
the students. Meaningful relationships have been built with this teacher that go
far beyond the academic realm.
I have taken particular note in Misty' s ability to acclimate to change and adjust to
her environment. The teacher who met us in August 2013 has grown and made
great strides to intentionally involve herself in the relational aspects of our school
with regard to her peers and her students. Misty has pursued the hearts of the
teens and has pointed them to Jesus. Excellent work is what Misty is most
consistent at producing both in classroom and on the court.
Misty Skidmore is a great teacher, coach, and peer. She comes with my full
recommendation. I know that Misty will be a tremendous addition to your
program.
