Roles & Responsibilities of Material QA

Analysing the technical feasibility in terms of lab testing during order booking
with QA Order Booking Coordinator.
Involve in R&D project for new product development and relate
microstructure with mechanical properties.
Inform to the PPC regarding heat treatment to achieve the customer
requirement in the case of mechanical properties by changing the soaking
hours and modifying the set temperatures within the range.
Plan and execute metallographic examination for customer specific
requirements.
Developing work instructions for new lab testing equipments and that will be
validated and uploaded after ensuring the same.
Train technicians for preparation and interpretation of metallographic
structures, Heat treatment operations & Lab Testing Equipments.
Conducting intensive orientation sessions for new comers for Metallographic
sample preparation.
Handling Customer Complaints regarding metallurgical issues.
Monitor effective implementation of all test and inspection schedule and
ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to
perform quality audits on processes.
Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure
compliance to all quality manual and procedures.
