Introduction

We all collaborating to execute the work of erecting Slurry Thickener and Rock Slurry Tanks in
PAP area of P2 but this kind of work exposes workers and also supervisors to a lot of risks which
their health and safety is our priority.
In order to achieve our goal with 0 accident or at least minimize damages, DLM is engaged to follow
HSE rules for prevention of incidents or accidents that might result from abnormal operating conditions
on the one hand and reduction of adverse effects that result from normal operating conditions on the
other hand.

Scope

The purpose of this Document is to establish guidelines for responding to an emergency case for
working in Slurry Thickener or Rock Slurry Tanks. These instructions should ensure that the victims
health risks are minimized and that the rescue is conducted in a safe and professional manner.

4 Slings and Stretcher
Stop chute
Samsung Ambulance
First Aid Box
Talkie-walkie

Rescue Operation

The present section describes the principal steps to be carried out to rescue victim by:
1. Protect the IP, inform about the accident and asking for help.
2. Lift the stretcher by mobile crane to the place of accident

3. Take out the victim from confined space which located inside the Slurry Thickener and
Rock Slurry Tanks.
The aid will try to recover and take out the victim to the scaffold platform using stretcher or Man
basket.
4. This step is consisted of evacuation of the victim from the scaffold platform to the
ground, to ensure safe operation, we are going to use stretcher with slings and mobile
crane.
Take the victim into the stretcher and tight it with the stop-chute
Start up the lifting of the victim
Take down the victim carefully to the ground level and move it to the ambulance.
