Email profile setup Outlook 2003

When logging into a profile for the first time you may receive an error similar to the
following. Click OK to close the error prompt.

Click Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 to
launch the Outlook 2003 Startup Wizard.

Click Next.

Choose Yes.
Click Next.

Click the Microsoft Exchange Server radio button.


Click Next.

Enter the exchange server name in the Microsoft Exchange Server textbox.
The server name is Entexch1
Put a check mark in the Use Cached Exchange Mode box.

Enter the last name of the user account in the User Name textbox.
Click the Check Name button.

If several users exist with the same last name, choose the correct name from the list.
Click OK.

The server name should appear similar to the one shown and the user name will be
underlined if the profile is found on the Exchange server.
Click Next.
NOTE: If an error occurs, click the Back button, choose the correct user name and
proceed with the above steps. If the name is verified as correct but cannot be found, the
user account may not exist.

Click Finish to close the wizard.

The following is for laptops only.


After Outlook finishes receiving incoming mail:
On the top toolbar, click Tools -> Options
Click the Mail Setup tab on the Options dialog box.

If not checked, put a check mark in the Send immediately when connected box.
Leave all other settings as is.
Click the Send/Receive button on the Options dialog box..

Put check marks in the following boxes (as shown above).


Under the Setting for group All Accounts heading:
Include this group in send/receive (F9).
Schedule and automatic send/receive every _5_ minutes.
Perform and automatic send/receive when exiting.
Under the When Outlook is Offline heading:
Include this group in send/receive (F9).
Click Close.

Click the Spelling tab on the Options dialog box.

Put a check mark in the Always check spelling before sending box.
Leave all other options as is.
Click Apply.
Click OK.
