Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
As an educator it is important to demonstrate the ability to enhance academic performance and
support for implementation of the school districts student achievement goals by establishing,
communicating, modeling, and maintaining standards of responsible student behavior.
This is achieved by modeling and hanging up pictures of the group time expectations by our group
time area. The pictures have words for the preschoolers to see and learn. They become familiar with
the rules and practice those rules.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
The pictures have been very helpful for our preschoolers. They really enjoy it and do a nice job
following directions. When a child isnt following one of the directions, I can just point to the picture
rather than speaking and disrupting our group. The pictures are reinforced by me giving the
students pom poms for our class jar when they are following the rules.
