CIDB MALAYSIA FELLOWSHIP AWARD

1. Background
CIDB will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2015. A series of celebration activities has
been planned to be celebrated in this year. One of the highlights to mark this
commemorative event is CIDB Fellowship Award. This fellowship will comprise of individuals
in the industry who will be featured in a Coffee Table Book.
2. Objective
The objective of the fellowship award is to give recognition to eminent players who have
contributed significantly to the construction industry. It is also a platform to recognize their
achievements and success to the construction industry.

Minimum age of 50 years as of 1st January of nominating years.


An individual who has contributed significantly to the development and
improvement of the construction industry generally OR in his chosen field OR
contributed to creativity, innovation or invention.
Contribution to national development and aspirations.
Has been a role model.
Served at National Level Construction Industry related committees entrusted with
Policy Making Decisions (e.g SIRIM Committee, CIDB Board Members, CIDB Industry
Committee, Central Agencies Committee).
Active and continuous contribution to the construction industry for the last 20 years.
Contribution to development and improvement of the construction industry
Contribution to charitable and voluntary services.

5. Nomination
a. Nomination can be proposed by CIDB, Construction Industry Associations /
Institutions and Universities
b. Nomination will go through a Nomination and Evaluation Committee which will then
be validated by the Jawatankuasa Hubungan Industri and final approval from the
Board of CIDB Malaysia.
c. The proposer must ensure that the nomination should be supported by detailed
curriculum vitae. Below are the information that should be included in the CV:

d. The nomination must be submitted no later than 30th April of the year the fellowship
is awarded. The Fellowship Award is conferred biennially. The completed
nomination must be received at :

6. Number of fellows
For the first year, the numbers of CIDB Fellows are limited to 50 person. For the following
years the number of fellows will be 10 or 20 person.
