Management Tactic.

Examples:

1. Organizing a productive classroom.

_yes, when someone do bad things the MST tell


her or him: if you are noisy you should sit in the
table.

-yes, in the group students they sit as four


students. Also, in the listening area they sit as
line so that is very easy to move around
classroom.

2-Classroom rules and procedures.


-Are rules stated in the positive form?
_Are there no more than 5 rules?
-Are rules clear and everyone understands?

_yes, when students ate their breakfast the


teacher told them the rule.
-yes, because students cannot remember all
rules so there no more than 5 rules.
-yes, for example, the healthy food all
students understand it because it easy to
know it.

Here students can understand the rule of healthy
food. They should bring healthy food every day and
no chocolate.

3- Positive greetings at the door.


-How does your MST greet the students when
they arrive?

-MST greeted students today when they arrive.

4-Managing independent work.


-yes, when they count, draw and cut.

throughout the day?

-yes, for instance, when they draw she told


them the instruction of it.

who finish early?

-yes, there are many places that can students


understand if they finish their work there are
other places that they can go in it.

5-Communication.

-yes, for example, he say I like the way of


Abduallah siting.

-Does the teacher praise often? What does she say?


-If the teacher reprimands(opposite of praise),is it very
short and not many?

-yes, teacher said it will be better if you sit like


your friend.

-Hoda and Jebo they lying , so teacher told them


can you look to your friends I like the way that your
friends siting.

6-Teach

and model behavior.

-Does the teacher teach and model the behavior


she expects? (for example, if she wants the
students to listen while others are speaking, does
she do the same)?

Yes, when MST want all students to listen to her


so she sing and that let students to understand
the teacher want to say something. Likewise,
every students have a chance to ask or telling
something to their teacher.

with teacher after that they should be quit and listen
for their teacher.

7-Teacher proximity(closeness).
_Does the teacher move throughout the classroom?
_Does she stand near those who are not focusing?

-yes, when she want to chick if students doing well


or not.
-yes, when she stand near to boy or girl who not
attention and that let students to understand they
should focus because the teacher is stand near to
them.

-Here when teacher stand near to Karim because he


did not finish his lunch then suddenly he ate the
lunch quickly.

8-Motivation system.

_Is there a reward system in the class?


_Is it effective?

_yes, when teacher want all students being


quit ,so she told them if you listen carefully and
quit you can choose any song that you want it.
-sure, they put their fingers in their mouth that
mean we are good students and we can choose any
song that we want it.

-Here is one of the song that they choose it.

9-Goal

setting.

_Does the teacher set goals for the classs behavior?


(Does she say something like, ok today we are all
going to get smiley faces?)

-no, but she remind them every day. For example,


in the breakfast even in the lunch she told them
you should bring healthy food.

-Basem , Mohammaed and Houda ate their healthy


breakfast .

schedule posted?

-yes, it is about daily schedule.

-This is the schedule. For example, in


the 8:oo oclock teacher take attends .

11_Cuing system to gain control of the


classroom.
_Does your teacher clap her hands or sing a song to
get the students attention? How does she get their
attention at the beginning or end of an activity?

-MST have small bell. When bell rang they should


be focus with their teacher.

-MST use the bell in the morning and in the


end of day .

12- 5 or 1 ratio of positive to


negative comments and

-yes, when they fight in the morning, she say you


are good and intelligent students but we should do
not do like this.

than negative?

-In this photo tow kids fight then teacher told them you
are brothers you are good friends you should do not like
this.

13- Smiling?
-Does your MST smile at the children often? How
do the children react?

-yes, students happy and they telling their


teacher we love your face and how you are smile.

-MST always smile for everybody.

14-Students answering
questions.
_Does your teacher give everyone a chance
to answer questions?

-yes, in the dates everyone have chance to


answer .

-Every students have a chance to answer.

Observation:
-In my class there are two students who have big different behave. Abduall is
very intelligent and quit boy. However, Karim is intelligent but has bad
behavior than Abduall. In the last day I saw my teacher deal with him without
telling him you are bad boy. She just say I like the way of Abduall siting so
Karim want to be like his friend. Moreover, in the group, Abduall share the
puzzles with his friends but Karim was not . He just say this is main I do not
want to share it with you. I believe that can affect other students to have bad
behavior. From my perspective, those students are similar but Karim should
have time to can manage his behavior. MST praised Abduall to make Karim
have attention of his behave.

-here Abduall is very quit and


respect his teacher.

-Karim hit students.

Reflection:

Answer the following questions.


-why is it important to be proactive when trying to manage the behavior in
the class?
-What is the effect on the students if there is a lot of misbehavior in the
classroom?
-which of the behavior management strategies do you think are the most
important ones? Why?
-which classroom management strategy do you think you will do particularly
well? Why?
-Which one do you think will be difficult for you to do?
-Which one does your MST do really well?

-Usually, teachers in the classroom being proactive when they trying to


manage the behavior because that make it easier for them .As we know if
there are some students being misbehavior they will be like others so teacher
copy the behavior and try to do it. There are many of the behavior
management strategies I think it most important to have it in the classroom,
such as respect others, listen to the teachers, and being responsible. Because
it is very important to let others to have god impression about us. I think the
best strategy I will do it well that being on time, because that shows am
respect my job and I will be a model so I should shows other am respect my
work. However, there is one of the difficult thing to me is how I can all of
student. MST can deal with students who have bad behavior very well.
