To the Daleville High School Band Parents:

Greetings! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you,
as I have been working alongside Mrs. Stout since January in the music program as
her student teacher. My name is Cory Chapman, and I am in my last semester of
study at Ball State University. I was assigned to student teach with Mrs. Stout, and
have therefore been working with your students throughout this semester. It has
been a tremendous privilege for me to get to know the students in the Daleville
Community Schools music program, and the experiences I have had working with
them have helped me to become a better educator.
After my college graduation this Saturday, I will be able to attain my initial
teaching license in the state of Indiana, and I owe a debt of gratitude to your
students, as well as to you for ensuring that they come to school each day ready
and willing to learn. I will be continuing to work with the bands here at Daleville
until the Spring Concert, and will also be traveling with the group to Chicago for the
upcoming performance trip.
Again, I appreciate the opportunity given to me by the schools
administrators, teachers, and the community. I have included my contact
information with this introductory letter. If you have any questions about my
involvement within the school or the process we have gone through this semester, I
