Imaging Image editing is the first workshop because use of images is such an
integral part of so many other sessions. EG, pictures will not be web-efficient if

Time: Goal:
3 hrs To provide a solid foundation for use/control of images for future modules

Outcomes:
Each DC will be able to: edit, resize, crop and carry out simple fixes to images to optimise them for web use

Resources:
• Computers with image editing software
• Sample images (including: res too high, over/under exposed, needs brushing out, bad
cropping/composition)
• Step guide

Methods:
• See/discuss the techniques demonstrated
• Supported exercises using images provided
• Discussion of industry standards and alternative solutions.
