Third Grade
Welcome to
Third Grade!
We have had a wonderful summer and
now we are back the excitement of
school! The third grade children are
doing well, and Ive enjoyed getting to
know them this past week. A special
welcome to our new students Pete
Moss and Ima Pear! They are welcome
additions to our class. Well look
forward to meeting their families on
Friday evening at the BBQ.
VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
Where would we be without our
classroom volunteers? We love having
them in the classroom!
I am beginning to set up the schedule
for class volunteers this week and am
getting the programs in place. If you
have not already done so, please
email me with your contact
information and whether or not you
are interested in volunteering at some
point this school year.

Spotlight on Academics
The students are already familiar
with the Travel Folder. Thank you for
taking the time to check it each night
for important papers. Papers on the
right hand side come right back to
school. Papers on the left hand side
are left at home.

Earth.

is hosting a FREE Back to School BBQ. All
families are welcome to join and come to see
classrooms and meet your teachers.

Spelling: Lesson 1. Test on Friday. (See

Language Arts: Characters in a story.
Who are they? What are they like?
Why do they make certain decisions?
Reading: AR begins this week. When
students read an AR book, please sign
their ticket, which is in their folder.
Send it back to school. Theyll be
tested right away.
