June 2014-Present

Working as a Research and Development Executive having expertise in solvent based varnishes and
paints for footwear; oil based pigment formulations for Polyurethane Footwear sole system; Silicone
based PU mould release agent formulations. Summary of the work responsibilities are as follows;
Co-ordination with Kenda Italy laboratory and Kenda India laboratory which includes proper and
timely interaction with Kenda Italy laboratory for queries and complaints resolution.
Managing and execution of development work for new products and the improvement of existing
products, if necessary, from initial scoping to the manufacture of production batches of the final
product.
Value engineering in various oil/solvent base products to achieve the required cost reduction of the
coating/pigment formulation.
Experience in extensive plant trials at customer locations with prompt technical service follow up
and communications.
Providing the field sales staff with the relevant technical product information, product application
and presentation of laboratory results.

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

Preparation of super tough blends of compatibilized Polybutylene terephthlate and Polyethyleneco-butyl acrylate , IIT Delhi
o Melt blending of Polybutylene terephthlate and Polyethylene-co-butyl acrylate in co-rotating
twin screw extruder and study of mechanical, morphological and rheological properties of the
blend system.
o Development of a compatibilized blend system using Polyethylene-co-butyl acrylate-co-glycidyl
methacrylate compatibilizer and analysis of the mechanical, morphological and rheological
properties of the compatibilized blend system.
o Analysis of the compatibilized blend system for the super tough blends composition.

Study on Pyrolytic Behaviour of Volatile Organic Chemicals used in Tyre Industry using PyrolysisGas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy technique, CEAT Tyres, Vadodara
o Analyzing the Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GCMS) spectra from the pyrolysates of
rubber accelerators, anti-degradants and other additives
o Using the data, Mass Spectroscopic data bank was complied containing the elution time of
various functional groups of different pyrolysates.
o Compiled data led to successful Reverse Engineering of rubber compounds used in Tyre Tread,
Side wall etc of leading tyre companies like Michelin, MRF LTD., Bridgestone.
o Developed and implemented this system for identification of rubber accelerators, prevulcanization inhibitors and anti-degradants.

TRAINING AND SKILLS

Two weeks training in Kenda Farben Italy, Garlasco, Italy

Laboratory training at Kenda Farben Italy with Italian lab technicians which included study of
various varnish, paint and pigment formulations, various shoe finishing processes etc.

Full in-plant training in CEAT LTD., Halol, Vadodara

Obtained in-plant training of tyre manufacturing process which included Compounding and
Mixing, Extruding and Calendaring, Component Assembly and Building, Curing and
Vulcanization, Inspection and Finishing.
One month training in Rubber Training Centre, Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII),
Kottayam, Kerala
o Completed practical sessions on raw rubber and latex testing, rubber and latex processing
techniques and manufacturing of rubber and latex products were conducted.
Certificate in German Language (Level-1. Department of Humanities, IIT Delhi)
Knowledge in C++ and C programming, CAD/CAM( Basic Approach); Origin Pro 8, TA Universal
Analysis, ChemDraw, MS Office Word/Power Point/ Excel.
