Students built upon their previous knowledge and personal toys at home. Moon Festival Friday Sept 25th at 4:30-6 looked at numbers to 20. Students sequenced numbers to 20 and then looked at what number Inquiry: Students explored conflict resolution and comes after and in between. Students were also looked at how to solve a problem in a warm and introduced to number lines and learned to a fuzzy way (positive way). Students first practiced number line to solve simple addition problems. with their puppets and then completed a sheet Students also completed a shape sort where contrasting the good and bad ways to solve they cut out regular and irregular shapes and problems. sorted them by curved and straight lines.
Literacy:
We have continued with our daily phonics
program. Students completed their first phonics unit and have now begun to look at r, l, u, i, b, d, f, h. Students enjoyed various games and activities to help them practice this. During our writing periods students were shown how to make simple lists by folding a paper in half. Students made lists about their friends, favourite foods, and other thing they liked.
