In the past older people were highly

respected because they were seen to be
valuable in passing on survival-based

However, todays society has lost a huge part of

this sentiment.
The youth-oriented culture in our modern society
has diminished
and desensitized this core value of caring for the
elderly.

To address this challenge and in line with

Southvilles 5Cs

the College of Nursing has embarked on a

Community Extension program to address health
and wellness needs of the senior citizens in Brgy
