The Fraser Wood student leadership team has been inspired by their experience at WeDay and is working on a fundraiser for the Surrey Food bank. This week we will be collecting coins of any denomination to support the Surrey Food Bank in an effort to "Scare the Hunger." If your family has some spare change that you would like to contribute, please send it with your child any day this week and the leadership team will be come to classes to collect it and ensure that it gets to the Surrey Food Bank. Thank you for your support! Bottle Drive: On Wednesday, October the 28th grade 7 parents are hosting a bottle drive. If you have bottles or cans that you would like to donate the grade 7 year end activities, please drop them off in the morning in the drop off bay. If you leave for work earlier than the school is open, you can leave your bottles and cans on the curb and we will put them in the drop off bay when we open. Thank you for supporting our grade 7s. Trick or Treat at the Office: On Friday of this week students are invited to trick or treat at the office and bring a can of non-perishable food for the food bank at the same time. If all students bring a donation, we could donate almost 500 items to families in need! All students who want one will receive a treat, whether or not they make a donation. Costume Parade: This Friday, parents are invited to join us at the school for our yearly costume parade. The parade will start at 1:00 p.m. and will wind through the school stopping at all classrooms. Parents are invited to join the parade in their child's class or just come and watch. Please remember that costumes can not include any real or replica weapons of any kind. BOO!
