    Last time, the researchers tried a new PDMS method for manipulating cell migration that showed preliminary encouraging results, but contamination ended the experiment. They have now created their own universal cell migration assembly using PDMS in a 24-well plate. Their first attempt involved creating columns that would adhere to the bottom of the wells when the lid was applied, but the PDMS columns proved too weak; their next try involved stronger but larger diameter PDMS columns. Images from their experiments so far show well-defined boundaries and easily reproducible results, though it appears the control wells saw more cell migration and DAPI staining was again ineffective. At their next meeting, they will stitch images together with better software and count cells more accurately.
