Clienthasbeenreportedbyteachersofinappropriatebehaviorsintheclassroomincludingnot
completingassignedschoolwork,yellingatteachers,andfightsbetweenstudentsandteachers.
Clientalsohasanunstablehomelifewhilelivinglivingwithherfatherandtwooldersiblings.

Goal:
A.
Celestewillimprovehergradesinmathandscienceglass.
Objectives:
1. Celestewillincreasehergoodstudentbehaviorsintheclassroomasindicatedbyher
teachers.Shewillattendtutoringsessionsatherhighschooltwiceaweekfornextthree
months.
2. Throughoutthenextthreemonths,weshalltrackCelestesprogressbywatchingher
gradesonassignmentsandtests.
Goal:
B.
Celestewilldecreaseherbadbehaviorintheclassroom
Objectives:
1. Celestewillcontinuetocometomeetingswiththesocialworkerfortheremainderofthe
schoolyearonceaweek.
2. Celestebehaviorwillimproveintheclassroomindicatedbyherteachers.Theywill
provideweeklyreportstothesocialworkerandmaystatesuggestions.

Interventions:

Thesocialworkerwillprovideextensiveencouragementandsupporttotheclientinorderto
facilitatechange.Encouragementandpositiveregardfortheclienthavebeenproveneffective
(Nino,2005).Weeklysessionswillhelptheclientprovidearegularlycheckupandupdateson
necessaryservices.Thesocialworkercontactedtheclientscollateralsources(teachers)for
assistanceinmonitoringtheclientthroughouttheweekinordertoensureprogressionwhen
socialworkerisnotwiththeclient.Sourceswillworkoneononewiththeclientinafterschool
sessionsaswellmaketheclientfeelcomfortableatalltimeswithanydisturbinglessonsfor
them.

Theclientwaspreviouslyinastandardclassroomsettingwithotherstudents.Thesocialworker
wasabletoarrangeforasmallerclassroomsettingfortutorialpurposes.Obtainingapositive
workingenvironmentinordertoincreasegoodclassroombehaviorsandgrades.

Theclient'streatmentprogramwillbepsychodynamictherapy.Thisinterventionisappropriate
anddeemedeffectivewithbehavioralissues(Haggerty,2013).Thistreatmentwillreinforce
positivebehaviorsrelatedtotheclient'spresentcircumstancesandhelpherunderstandhowto

dealwithhernegativeemotions.Thiswillmaketheclientbecomeselfawareandunderstandthe
influenceofthepastonpresentbehavior.Italsoexaminestheclientsunresolvedconflictsand
symptomsthatarisefrompastdysfunctionalrelationships.Theclientwillalsobereferredtoa
privatetutortoevaluateherprogressofunderstandingforthemathandsciencecoursematerials
andlessons.
