Jeopardy Game Reflection

Student Name:
Lonnie Barton
Date:
11/24/2015
Portfolio Artifact Description:
Jeopardy Game Create a PowerPoint presentation similar to Jeopardy style game
with 51 slides total and active hyperlinks throughout project.
What you learned:
I like PowerPoint very much and I use it very often for work. However, not very often do
I use hyperlinks. I usually just use the program for a traditional presentation program.
So it was fun to get a little more comfortable using the hyperlink feature. Also lets not
forget the beauty of the copy and paste feature. Time saver for sure!! On a side note it
was also fun learning about the different categories that I chose. This was an added
bonus. This was a big project. It was very monotonous. Doing the same task 51 times
is kind of a lot.
National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS)T Addressed:
Standard #2- Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments.
Teachers design, develop and evaluate authentic learning experiences and
assessments, incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content
learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the
Standards S.
a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and
resources to promote student learning and creativity.
And
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students diverse learning
styles, working strategizes and abilities using digital tools and resources.
Application of Skills Learned for the Future:
Like you suggested having a template like this is very helpful because if you have a
saved working game template you can always just change out the text and add new
facts/ game questions/ etc. This is defiantly a fun way to keep students engaged and
active in the topic. Much better than the old teacher lecture and students listen format. I
will for sure use different games and interaction in my teaching style.
