introducethetopicthatwewillbecovering.Theteacherwillthenmoveon
todiscussingseveraltheoriesabouttheSpanishconquest,startingwithEl
Dorado(Thesearchforgold),
TheFountainofYouth
(Thesearchfor
eternallife),andoverallconquest/expansionforSpain.Theteacherwill
thentalkaboutshipwrecksandhowtheyarerelevanttothetopic.The
teacherwillthenexplainthe
mapactivity
.Oncethatiscompleted,the
teacherwillbeginashortdiscussionthattiesthelessontogether,leaving
thestudentswithashortansweressayquestiontocomplete.
