Name of Journey: Storycorps Interview

Explain your artifact final product and ALL the steps you took to create it.
My final product was a 10 minute interview with my mom where I asked her specific questions
about her life and her being a parent. I used Story corps questions and made some questions up
during the interview.

What is the most important thing you learned during this process?
The most important thing I learned from this was that my mom went through a lot as a child and
as a young adult to get to where she is at right now. She has had some tough obstacles in her life
and she found the will to overcome those obstacles and now is living great.

Explain the significance of your artifact and how it connects to the narrative.
During the interview, I learned from my mom what she had been through and what living
situation she was in as a child. She told me everything she did to give me and my siblings
everything we have today.

What do you wish you had spent more time on or done dierently?
I wish I could have had more time with my mom for the interview to get more quality time
together. She always busy and never finds time for herself. I wish I wouldve had like 20 minutes
so we could have quality time doing this interview.

What did you find most challenging during this task?

What I found most difficult about this task was trying to get a few minutes with my mom to do
the interview. She is always busy with my younger sisters and always in a rush. I found it difficult
to ask her if she had time to talk.
