wresters ready to take-down

By Raffy L. Berina

Negros Occidental Freestyle Wrestling Team is still training hard, hoping to harvest
golds in the 1st Negros Island Region Athletic Association Meet to be held at Panaad
Park and Stadium, February 8-12, 2016.
Barley Ciocon, coach and trainer of the team, reminded the young Negrense
wrestlers to always stick to the game planin order totake down opponents.
Since the team is composed of student athletes from Moises Padilla, Murcia and
Bacolod, training has become more challenging during the first few months of
practice, Ciocon expressed.
Last years victory motivated him to train even harderand make sure that his team
is prepared for the sweat-pouring and muscle-writhing competition.
This is his second year to coach the wrestling team and he exerted his best effort to
train his athletes so they would be ready to take-down opponents and advance to
the national level.
Ciocon is a teacher at Guinpana-an National High School.*
