Evaluation activity 6 - What have you learnt about technologies from the process

of constructing this product?

To film our two minute sequence we used a canon
700D. As both the director and I had some
experience with using this type of camera to an
extent. As this knowledge wasnt vast throughout
the shoot we ventured into different camera settings
in order to give our film a better overall effect.

The tripod was essential in order for us to capture

footage that was steady as if it was all captured
handheld this may make our film look very
unprofessional. When using it we had to make sure it
was level with the landscape in order to deem all of
our footage useable for our final product. As well as
this we were able to film a variety of different shots
as the tripod's height could be changed in three
different places.

We used a floodlight to produce better quality

footage as this ensured that what was captured
wasnt grainy ensuring we wouldnt have to refilm.
Through editing we changed the colour of the
footage to give it the low key lighting effect that was
intended. This allowed the lighting levels to be
constant and we had a better outcome from this.

Prior to filming with this me and the director researched

into how to do the simple things such as putting in the SD
card, and attaching it to a harness. Due to this little

knowledge this made filming with it slightly more difficult as this is the piece of
equipment we were least familiar with. This was used in order to film parts of the chase
sequence which made our piece more effective overall.
