Isolated communities are communities who live or have lived, either by choice
(people living in voluntary isolation) or by circumstance,without significant contact with
globalised civilization. Most isolated communities are located in densely forested areas.
Knowledge of the existence of these groups comes mostly from infrequent and sometimes
violent encounters with neighbouring tribes, and from aerial footage. Until nowadays, there
are still many isolated communities that spread in the world. Like Baduy tribe in Indonesia.
Baduy tribe is one of the example that not all people receive the globalisation. Because, they
really refuse the world outside their isolated area.
Isolated communities may lack immunity to common diseases which can kill a large
percentage of their people after contact because they just have a little bit knowladge to cure
them.Knowledges, is very important for peoples including for the isolated communities.
Because, by their knowledges they can face their life easier. Knowledges is needed not only
for them self, but also for the peoples around them and knowledges is got not from one place.
But, if they just live in their isolated places, from where they will get their knowledges?
Because of that, the affirmative agree if the require isolated communities to allow all
their 18 years old to travel and live outside their communities for 1 year, for which they may
choose to return or not after their journey. Why must 18 years old? Because it is age that
peoples can decide what way that they want to take to face their life.Because of that, they
have had their right to choose their own way to face the world and have the right to choose
their own decision for thier own life. And, because it doesnt disturb anyone, so no one can
disturb this right too.
The reasons why the government agree with this motion is because this bring good
than harm. Good, because its bring many advantages for the members of the community.
This community is having close relation each other. So, each of them must appreciate what
the members want for their life. As an isolated communities of course the members ever
dreamt about the world outside their places. Because of that the communities must allow their
members to feel the life outside their places to get new experiences. Because, as a young
man, its the time for them to get it.
They must allow the members who are 18 years old to travel and live outside their
communities for 1 year, because its time for them to choose their own decision for their life.
They may come back to their communities or not. It depends from them self. If they feel
good to live outside their communities and dont want to come back, its okay. Or, if they feel
good but they still want to come back to their communities its okay too. Why? Because as a
18 years old people, they have the right to choose something that they want and no one can
break it during it doesnt hurt anyone.
The second advantage is, to give more experiences for the members of the
communities. The experiences of life can not be got from one places. They need more than

one place. So, travel and live outside is the best way to get it. Problem to return or not to the
communities is whatever to the members of it. The other members of that communities can
not force them to come back if they dont want. How if on 1 year that person sucsess in the
outside of that community? Is the other members still want to take him or her back? If it so, is
there no one will prevent that happen? Of course there are.
Example: if A, one of the members of the community travel and live outside his community,
and there, he try to get job. For getting it, of course he must promise to work well so the
people will trust him and give him the job. And, on 1 year he get good achievment. And when
it happen, the other members of his community want him to come back. Do you think that A
will really come back? I believe, he will not. Because he feel happy to live outside his
community with his sucsess. If that other members still want and force A to come back, it
mean that he disturb As right to live happily. Because, A feel more happy when he live
outside his community than he live inside it.
So, someone from isolated communities and have age more than 18 years old, have
their own right to choose which way they want and no one can disturb it and it is better for
them because with this way they will get new experience. If the other peoples force him or
her to come back to the communities when they dont want it, I think it is useless for the
communities when they send him or her to travel and live outside the communities but they
want him or her come back when they dont want it. It just like giving useless hope for them.

Negative
We agree with the definition given by affirmative team. But, we disagree with the
motion. Because, it will bring harm than good. Harm here means, that it will give
disadvantages not for the communities but also for the government or the country where the
communities live.
They said that in 18 years old, people have their right to choose their own way for
their life. But, we all know that altought they have their right, in 18 years old, they still called
as a teenager that have a labil think to do something. In this age, they very need someone like
their parent to teach them to choose a good way for their life, to get a better future. If in this
age they travel to the outside, can you guaranty that they will not choose a wrong way?
Because they come from isolated places, of course they need to learn about a new
environment. So, how if in that place they meet with an bad person that teach them to do bad
thing. You said that they will be sucsess? How come someone from isolated places that Im
sure they have no sertificate get a good job and become a sucsessful person? I believe it will
not happen if they will be sucsess just on 1 year. And what kind of sucsess it is? If they
sucsess to be a homeless, oh, I will believe about it.
So, if the government allow this motion, it will make the community disappeard.
Why? Because, when they agree to allow their members to travel and live outside their
community and they allow too, wheter they want to return or not, I believe most of them will
choose to not come back. Why? Because outside their community, is better than inside the
community. Because, in isolated community there isnt technology. There isnt TV,Radio,

Internet, Phone, etc. When they go outside their community they will see the world easier
than before. In the isolated communities, they have to climb the coconut tree, peel the shell of
the coconut, grate the coconut and squeeze it just to get the coconut-milk. But, outside the
isolated community they just need to go to the market and than buy it. It more simple, right?
Beside that, people will get something that they want easier too. So, I believe, they will
choose to live outside than inside.
But, what is the dangerous of it? If this happen, of course as soon as possible this
community will disappeared because there isnt someone to live isolated like that again. This
is very dangerous for the government, because they will lose their culture. Because, in this
modern world, not just a few country that use the community to be one of the tour in the
country for their tourism object to attract the tourist from another country like the American
tour did, when the operator of it who specializes in escorted tours to discover unconected
people in West Papua. So, they will lose their income if they allow this motion beside they
will lose their culture too.
The second,you have to know that not all of the peoples will allow their child to go
outside to the world that they havent known. It is same with your parent that will not allow
you to go to the unknown places. And, if someone feel very sad about this, it will influence
their mental, and if they can not stand firm about this, the worse is, they can end their life by
them self. If something like this happen, of course not just the family that have been lived
that feel sad, but also all the members of the community too. Because mostly, the isolated
community like this have close relation each other. So, if everyday something like this
happen, of course as soon as possible this community will disappear too, right?
So, if this motion is allowed, it will bring harm than good. Because, it will bring
disadvantages not only for the members of the community but also for the government.
