Moza Jasim observed two classroom transition strategies used by Mr. Basel Badran during her practicum: 1) The teacher had the girls line up on the left side of the classroom in an organized manner after calling them out; and 2) The teacher counted down from 5 minutes or announced the time remaining to finish an activity. Moza thought both strategies were effective - the first teaches organization and could be improved by adding music or singing, while the second establishes a time limit. She also noted five strategies Mr. Badran used to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families, such as respecting students, caring for them, sharing feelings, helping them, and greeting them with a smile each day.
