EAST MOUNTAIN-TOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL

FACULTY AND STAFF NEWSLETTER

SEPTEMBER 2016

Important
to Know

Welcome Back
What we expect this school year:

We are welcoming
a new members of
our team at the 8th
grade level in Mr.
Hayden Hamilton
and at the 6th grade
level in Mrs.
Natalie Helm.

Mr. Anthony
Fallacaro will be
holding an open
house for his
outdoor classroom
on Tuesday
September 13th.

Beginning in
October we plan to
launch our
Community
Outreach (CO)
Program.

After careful
consideration, we
have decided to
continue using the
new standard based
evaluation system
for students which
was tested last year.

We are looking forward to another exciting year at East

Mountain-Town Middle School. We expect this to be another
successful year filled with academic achievement, and
intellectual growth among our students and staff. We
encourage the families of our students to continue their
involvement in our school community, and to help us make
this year even more prosperous than the last.

Award Recognition
CONGRATULATIONS EMTMS STAFF
Last May our staff was nationally recognized by receiving the
Jackie Van Schooneveld Award for Excellence in Education.
We are very proud of the achievements that you have spurred
in the classroom. As thanks, we will be discussing the award
and further recognition at our first full faculty meeting of the
Fall on September 7th.

EMTMS Staffing Needs:

We are currently still searching for additional members to
serve as CO Ambassadors for our Community Outreach
Program. There are also positions available on either the Track
and Field or Basketball coaching staffs. Please contact Mrs.
Alison Foster in the Main Office with any interest for these
positions or general questions at afoster@emtms.pa.k12.us.

We need technology in every classroom and in every

student and teachers hand, because it is the pen and
paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we
experience much of our world.
