HOTEL RWANDA AND LEFT TO TELL

Summary
It is the year 1994, Paul Rusesabagina, manages
the Sabena Htel des Mille Collines. The hotel
does very well and Paul has become very
successful because of it. Paul and his family life a
very well off life. Everything is going good for
them, until the Rwandan Genocide began.
Everyone is in a total panic. Many refugees come
to the hotel in search of safety. Throughout the
movie, Paul has to go through a lot of trouble to
protect the refugees living in the hotel.

Movie Review
Personally, I really enjoyed Hotel Rwanda. It really showed the audience how
horrible the Rwandan genocide really was. It was very graphic about how the
Interahamwe cut down and killed the Tutsis. The movie was very exciting and
always keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, and there is never really a
lack of action throughout the film. I would highly suggest this movie to anyone who has read Left to Tell, which is also about the Rwandan genocide.

Left to Tell by Immaculee Ilibagiza, a personal account of the Rwandan genocide.

Connection to Hotel Rwanda and

Left to Tell
Left to Tell and Hotel Rwanda are both stories about the Rwandan genocide, that took place in 1994. They are both the true stories about two different people who lived through the genocide. Left to Tell is the story of
how a young woman survived the genocide through constant prayer. Hotel
Rwanda tells of a man who risked his own life to protect the lives of others.
Although the stories are very different, they both show the rest of the world
how terrible the genocide really was, since at the time, no one thought it
was a big issue.
