Program Description
This is a unique two year program designed to meet the burgeoning demands for Health, Safety and Environment
professionals in India and abroad.
The academic curriculum is designed to provide equal emphasis to the principles and practice of occupational
health, industrial safety (in various sectors) and environmental engineering. An introductory understanding of the
management systems needed to implement these practices is also imparted to the students. Another unique
characteristic of the program is the Health, Safety and Environment laboratory where students get hands on training
in measurement and experimental techniques.
The delivery methodology comprises a rich mix of lectures, guest lectures, interactive group work, presentations,
discussions, tutorials, live projects, summer internships and directed self study. Students’ knowledge of the theory
and practice is further supplemented with frequent interactions with Industry leaders as well as policy framers in the
form of industry visits and guest lectures.
