You Can Be An Inventor at Any Age

Please join me in congratulating our young inventor Azuwad Zamani for scoring
straight A’s in his PMR exam recently. Azuwad hailed from Terengganu but now has
resided in Perlis. His interest in creating new gadgets started when he was just a
little 10 years old kampong boy.

By the time he enters the secondary school at SMK Sultan Ismail Dua in Kemaman,
he was already an old hand in this field. With the right guidance from his school
teachers, Cikgu Mohd Sapli and Mr. Foo this young inventor have created many
new inventions that have brought him honour and fame.

In 2006 Azuwad was selected to represent Malaysia when the Japan Institute of
Innovation and Invention (JIII) celebrated their 100 years centenary symposium in
Tokyo. In April 2007 during the National Intellectual Property (IP) Day in Kuala
Lumpur, he won a GOLD medal for the creation of a "Drain Cleaner". In November
2007 he became a finalist and was pitched against 30 other inventors. Here he
competes against real life professional inventors in the Akar Umbi (grass root)
category at the National Innovation Conference and Exhibition (NICE 07) in Kuala
Lumpur.

Azuwad is a talented young all rounder. His talent excels in things he loves to do.
While he is good in creating new invention, he is also good with his school books.
The excellent academic result from this young achiever has proven many things.

1) That you can be an inventor at any age.

2) That getting involved in creating new inventions does not hinder your studies.

3) In fact being involved in research work at this young age helps you in your
school work.

4) You will have a head start and your future is bright.

We hope the exemplary of this fine young man has inspired you. I’m sure there are
some new ideas hidden in the corner of your mind. Now is the time to unleash it. Go
seek help from your teacher and parent. Who knows you may be the next famous
inventor like Azuwad Zamani.

I am convinced that this country have many young talents. In fact I've seen quite a
fair bit of them and I am certain that this nation has what it takes to become a
developed nation in the near future. Teachers and parents just need to go out and
assist them.

These 3 young inventors have created a Two way Window that could be opened like
a door. This is useful especially in the case of fire. This window could be used as an

This Shoe Dryer is a creation of the students from SMK Pangkal Meleret, Kelantan.
Good for children to dry shoes during raining season. This has the potential to
become a hot product.
This is a Rotating Lemang Machine. It has a handle to crank a sprocket which turns
the lemang to rotate in circle by using a bicycle chain. Now you get even fire for your
lemang. Great idea...

This clever invention of a Modular Lego Power Socket is created by students from
UCSI. You can add as many power socket s as you like. Just like the way you play
Lego blocks.
Opening durian will never be troublesome anymore with this simple Durian Opener.
It is a plier that has two nails on the plier head. Each nail is to be to poke into two
portion of the durian on the butt of the durian fruit. You slit open the durian by
griping the plier. The two nail will push the two portions apart. There you are the
durian is opened. Opening the king of fruits has become so simple.

A Vibrating Bra. This young scientist has thought of a way to give mum's breast a
massage. He has connected 3 pieces of small vibrators to a hand-held air pump. This
provides the breast some diminutive message. So that by the time when mum goes
home from work, her breast will be able to produce milk for her baby.

Young inventor Hafiz (left) and his co-inventor Azuwad (right) have created an
award winning invention of the Multi Purpose Drain Cleaner (MDC). It has a
powerful pressure pump in-cooperated into this machine. This provides the
necessary wash onto a drain. It also has a 3-way steel brush that could remove any
stubborn stains found along the dirty drain.
