Print Ad Intro

Deepika Padukone, the brand ambassador of TISSOT Watches, sitting in a boat in the middle of
the ocean wearing swim suit and Tissot Sea-Touch watch. In the adjacent image, her hand is
dipped in water with watch on.

Review

From the very first look of the print ad the dress worn and the style of the actress catches the
attention and the boat and sea around creates an impression that there is something to do with
water. Hence, in a single look it becomes clear that SEA-TOUCH is a water proof watch.

Deepika wearing swim suit and packing her kit seems to be ready to jump into the water. The
sandals in the background re-enforces this observation and also creates an impression that
there is nothing else she would like to put on or remove to get ready to dive. Hence, this shows
that she is completely confident on the water proofing capability of her watch and all set to
take it in water.

Second adjacent image also re-enforces the same fact of water proofing ability with watch
dipped inside water. The orange color of the watch dial in colorless background catches the
attention and the colored fishes create an underwater impression. The silky look of the fingers
and the kind of fishes chosen and also the position of the fishes near the finger tips try to
project the touch screen feature of the watch.

The color of the watch also drags attention towards the tagline written on the top right corner
of the ad. The line “chosen by Deepika Padukone” under the name of the product also tries to
gain on the brand Deepika.

The website link on the bottom left corner is written in red when the background is colorless
and tries to entice people to visit once to experience more.
Clearly the print ad targets that segment of the society which spends most of their time near
water and position the watch as a touch screen water proof watch.

Overall, the ad is very simple and easy to comprehend. The target segment can easily relate to
the waterproofing feature of the watch. But the ad does not emphasize much on the touch
screen feature of the watch.
