 Communication is sometime so simple and
difficult that we can never put it in simple
word. Communication is the process by
which information is transmitted between
individual and/organization so that an
understanding response result.
BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
 When business related information is transferred
from one person to another is called business
communication.

expression,channelling,receiving and exchanging of
ideas in commerce and industry.

and other agencies is mostly conducted

Written communication is everything


that has to be written and
transmitted in the written form falls
in the area of written communication.

Reports
Minutes
Questionnaires
Merits of written communication:
 It is accurate and precise.

 It can be repeatedly referred to.

 It is a permanent record.

 It is Legal document.

 It facilities the assignments of responsbilities.


Demerits of written communication:

 Time consuming.

 It is costly.

 Quick classification is not possible.


Oral Communication
Oral communication
includes face to face
Communication,
Conversation over
Telephones,intervies,
Group discussion,
Meetings, conference
etc.
Merits of Oral communication:
 Itsaves time and money.
 Speeches are more powerful.
 Get immediate feedback.
 Useful in meeting, seminar etc.

Limitations of Oral communication:


 When communication into far distance.
 No legal value.
 Greater chances of misunderstanding.
Audio Visual Communication:
Audio visual communication
that makes use of telecast,
short films on the cinema
screen and video tapes is a
powerful medium of
communication. It is a
combination of sight and
sound.
COMPUTER BASED COMMUNICATION:
Computer technology has
dramatically changed the
landscape of business
communication. It is fast
prevailing and our world is
turning into a small
village. It indicates email,
voice mail,cellular phone,
fax etc.
SILENCE:
Silence sometime plays a
vital role in communication.
For example a boy
proposes a girl. In return
she just lowers down her
face and gives a blunt smile
on her face. The message has
been delivered to the boy
without any word spoken
by her.
“Silence is not a thing we make, it is something into
which we enter ,it is always there, all we can make is
noise.”
