LESSON PLAN FOR DRAMA

Age : 17-20
Level : intermaediate
Objectives :
a) for drama:
to make the students involve in the lesson by acting according to their roles
to make the bodily/kinesthetic students activate beter
to make the students practice their spaeking skills through a drama activity
b) for language item/ skills involved :
to make the students practice their reading skills through a reding passage
Materials : a microphone, some pictures of JFK Junior, some materials for a TV programme.
Assumptions : The students are assumed that they know past tense and the use of perfect
modals.
Anticipated Problems : Since there are too many students in the class, to divide the class into
groups of four may cause some problems. Because each group have to support a different
reason, which may be difficut to find.

PRE
Procedure : The teacher greets the students with a smiling face. She collects their ideas. She
asks a few questions about murder. She asks about the people who were murdered they know,
if they know any real murder story. Lastly she hands out a real murder story.

Steps :

1) The teacher asks this question to the students: “Do you know the meaning of the word
murder? “ She collects their ideas.
2) She asks if they know anyone who was murdered, if they know any real murder story.
3) She hands out the reading texts by saying: “ let’s read a real murder story” .

WHILE
Procedure: After drawing their attention in the pre-part, the teacher hands out the reading
passages. The students are asks to read it twice for the exercises. In the exercises there are
some comprehension questions, vocabulary exercises, and some other exercises.

Steps :

1) The teacher wants the students to read the text quickly and do the exercises in part 1.
2) When the students are done with the activity, the teacher collects the students’ answer.
3) The teacher wants the students to do the exercises in part 2.
4) When the students are done with the activity, the teacher collects the answers. They do
it together and loudly.
5) Then the teacher wants the students to read the passage again but carefully this time
and answer the comprehension questions.
6) When the students are done with the activity, the teacher takes the answers from the
students.
7) The teacher wants the students to do the vocabulary exercises in part 4.
8) When the students are done with the activity, the teacher takes the answers from the
students.
