"The Effect of the Kind of Mosquito Killer to

the Mosquitoes"

There are many mosquitoes druing rainy days and many people got dengue
because of it. The ozone layer is also starting to be destructed because of the
human activities that has bad effects to the nature. We want to have a mosquito
killer that can also save the earth and nature. A lot of students have this study, but
we want to prove it ourselves. We wanted to let the others know the other way of
killing mosquitoes without destroying our environment. The lanzones skin can kill
mosquitoes because of it's odor and at the same time it can't harm our nature. The
katol kills mosquitoes too but it's odor and smoke can cause detructions the
environment. We wanted to know which is a better way of killing mosquitoes. If
we can prove that lanzones skin is better than the katol then we can save our
environment.

The effect of the kind of the insecticide to the number of mosquitoes. In this
study we will know which mosquito killer is better. To identify which insecticide
is better to use.

This study can help us during cold or rainy days. If we can prove also that
lanzones is better than the katol then we could protect our environment and also
our own health.

The 1st day of our study we thought of it as easy because we are only
observing the number of dead mosquitoes in 5 minutes yet it's not that easy. For
how many days we tried to capture mosquitoes. We had a hard time. When we
finally captured 1 mosquito we were so happy, but it died in one night. We have to
capture again. The next day, we losed hope because it's very difficult for us to
catch mosquitoes. We eventually asked help from our family and friends, but they
found it hard too. We ran out of time because the deadline is already at hand.
Luckily, one of us saw the group of mosquitoes flying above a cooked rice. We
then captured it. Then we performed our IP. We haven't pass our papers on time
but our professor accepted it.

-Review of Related Literature-

D. Materials and Methods.

In our IP, we used 3 plastic containers with the same width, height, length
and circumference. We used 3 nets with measurements 6 x 6, 15pcs. of lanzones
skin, 1 pc. of katol, 1 clock, a paper and a ballpen. First we put 5 lanzones skin on
the first container. we put 5-10 mosquitoes and covered it with a net. We left it for
5 minutes. When 5 minutes had passed, we counted the number of dead
mosquitoes, then we recorded it. We put a piece of katol on the second container .
We put 5-10 mosquitoes and covered it with a net. After 5 minutes, we counted the
number of dead mosquitoes, then we recorded it. We put 5-10 mosquitoes in an
empty container and left it for 5 minutes. When 5 minutes is over, we counted the
number of dead mosquitoes, then recorded it. We repeated each step for two times.

E. Observations or Findings

Based on the results, katol was better than lanzones skin. The results are
shown below.

F. Analysis of Data

The results of the study was expected but our hypothesis was different from
our expectations.

G. Generalizations
 The Katol was better than the lanzones skin. Lanzones skin killed many
mosquitoes but katol killed a lot more mosquitoes than the lanzones skin.
