The figure above depicts the TI diagram. As highlighted, Q Hmin = 0MW and QCmin = 69.39MW. This
means that no heaters exist and cooling utilities of 63.39MW are used.

Diagram 1 is a representation of the Heat Integration Network (HEN), which has 3 heat
exchangers and 3 coolers. Since the last stream has been split, it is considered as 2 streams.
Hence, Nmin = 6 + 1 – 1 = 6.

Diagram 2 is another variation of the HEN, however, there are 4 heat exchangers and 2
coolers instead. Since, the capital cost of a heat exchanger is greater than a cooler, HEN 1 is
chosen and has been implemented in HYSYS.
