Activity School Year Aims

: Roll and talk : Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Dato Senu : Year 5 (medium language proficiency) : Enable pupils to communicate in target language.

Objectives : At the end of the activity, pupils should be able to: 1) Communicate among group members. 2) Cooperate with group members. 3) Enjoy and understand about the communicative activity. Resources : Dice and flash cards

Instruction : 1) Each group needs one die. Each surface of die contains number until 6 which shows the collection of point. Level of each number refers to the points of collection. 2) One pupil rolls the die. The pupils will pick up the questions card given according to the number value on that face of the die. Then, the pupil will make a sentence based on the question in the questions card. 3) The next pupil will continue the game after the first pupil complete the sentence. 4) The teacher jot down the point accumulated for pupils in each group. The higher marks will announce as a winner.

Instructional language 1. Today, we will do one communicative activity. 2. Class, get into a group of four. 3. Now, I will give you one die for every group. 4. Listen to me, what I want you to do is playing the Roll and Talk activity. 5. Starting from one person, you need to roll the die. 6. Everyone, look at on this die. 7. Every surface on the die shows the different points. If you get the surface of the die of number 2, thats means, your score is 2. Then, you need to answer the questions from the second envelope. 8. Then, the next person will repeat what the first person did. 9. I want everyone of you get the opportunity to do this activity.
