Job Ref Job Title Job Type Location Description (.5 FTE, 9-months, 21.5 hours/week (up to 5 additional hours per week can be worked during the '10-'11 academic year), benefits eligible, regular, salary grade 6) As Production Manager, to oversee and coordinate technical production support for all Theater Department performances in the Frear Ensemble Theater and the Pearson-Hall Theater. This includes working with Theater Department faculty and staff along with the LPAC staff office to provide all necessary equipment and staffing support for the running of sound, lights, projection/media equipment, and audience seating for Theater Department productions. Hiring, administration, and oversight of supplemental professional labor as well as hiring, training, and oversight of student stage managers and running crews. As Technical Director, responsible for general technical oversight and maintenance of equipment and inventory (including seating, floor, and curtains) for the Frear Ensemble Theater, as well as for organization and oversight of all load-ins and strikes for Theater Department productions. Also responsible for supervision and maintenance of furniture and hand props and stock scenery elements. Responsible for planning and supervising set construction and painting for Production Ensemble, Senior Company, and honors thesis productions each year, in collaboration with the faculty, guest artist, or student designers and directors involved. Hiring, training, and oversight of a student workforce in support of this work. Oversight of equipment and supplies in the scene shop of the LPAC. For LPAC Staff Office, to coordinate, schedule, and supervise construction and loadin of two-three Drama Board productions per academic year. Requirements: Minimum of a B.A. or B.F.A. in theater, with an emphasis in technical theater and/or set design and/or lighting design.
