January News

Welcome back to school! We hope you had a great vacation!

The weather has been very unpredictable, so extra clothes in the bottom of your childs bag for when it finally becomes cold would be helpful. Please remind them again that if they wear a coat, hat, mitts or scarf to school, they are expected to wear it at recess! Hopefully we will see some snow shortly! January 24th and 25th the grade three classes will be going to the McLaughlin Art Gallery in Oshawa. Mme Beltranos and Mme Fowlers classes will be going the afternoon of the 24th, and Mme Fleets and Mme Maheuxs the 25th. We will be asking for volunteers when we send home the permission forms. Please note that January 27th is a P.A. day there will be no school! You may be wondering what we will be working on for the month of January at school:
Language Arts Math Verbs ending in ER, present and past tense Story writing Winter activities Addition and subtraction of large numbers Borrowing, re-grouping 1s and 10s Associated word problems continued Soils Looking at different communities rural and urban
