Karen Willson took a picture of PAB for the church directory Everyone introduced themselves for benefit of new OMMS Liaison Opening prayer by Cesar Discovered this is 1st time the Pond has been refurbished o Old concrete was turning to powder o Deepened pond and smoothed all surfaces Estimate total cost to be $6000-7000K o Most of the work has been volunteered o Past monetary donations use it or lose it Duration to be 3-4 weeks, starting Aug 20th Koi, turtle & waterplants taken care of in the meanwhile Joan Giroux spoke with Lee & asked him to distribute 5 books. The book w/ code cost less than the code alone. Joan will set up a group session specifically for PAB soon. 2 Appointed Liaisons to PAB Shared duties between 2 because both liaisons travel. Fr. Chuck approved this OMMS liaison arrangement Christmas in July No financials yet, parent volunteers will submit their bills once summer break is over. 2 weeks after school starts, the financials will be tabulated Boy Scouts Meeting last week: enough for cub pack, but need more for boy scouts. Anticipate recruitment will be successful.

Meeting Date: Thursday, September 1, 2011 Place: Parish Center, Rm# 1 Time: 7PM The event was great. 2 youtube videos on-line. Turn-out ~2,500 people. Anticipate more participants next year. Cost: Hispanic Community fundraisers & Private Donation No resources taken up from the parish Lee (fundraising) No tremendous change, collect ~$190,000 to date Rummage Sale, Sept 17th: money raised to Sports Court Cookie Bake is coming up OLG Sports Court Update Lee Allen Allen (construction) Engineering packet reviewed by City of Oceanside o Any additional requirements from City are easily w/in the contingency plans Hope to get entire project completed before rainy season once all City requirements are met Actual construction to take only 2 weeks.

Committee (Lee, Michelle, Cesar, Tavale) created rough draft of Town Hall Agenda Ask for parishioners input in the 4 areas of Worship, Service, Education, Community Building Town Hall purpose to get input & inquiries from Parish Community Suggestion to make Agenda available to the parish community before the Oct 9th date Activities still in planning stages but will differ from previous years Blessing of Animals will definitely be at the Old Mission Unsure of extent of activities occurring at the Parish versus the Old Mission Discussions between Parish staff meeting & Old Mission staff is on-going Committee (Allen, Lee, Mai, Sel) Met, talked, and toured Casa space To better advise the use of the new coming space, becomes

Increase of unity & community is very visible this year All our activities are acts Evangelization Thank MOP for the new Parish & OMMS Staff Room Special emphasis this Year of the Child Polo shirts for children and teachers for Religious Education Priests will make effort to visit RE & OMMS school rooms Lupe creating Childrens Choir from RE & OMMS kids, singing at 2 Masses per month Also need to work on Stewardship this year for talent, time & treasure Old Mission will need to be refurbished before 2012 Need $1.3 million; about 60% raised Parish will tithe $3,500 for next 5 years Old Mission will close by Feb 12, 2012 for refurbishment with reopening Christmas 2012 Lee suggests Current chair will establish 1 month ahead of time, the next chairperson for that PAB meeting When Sel volunteers to chair a meeting, a PAB member must volunteer to the secretary for that months meeting minutes Closing prayer by Mai Adjournment of the meeting

Fr. Chuck & Allen specifically ask PAB members not to discuss the Old Mission Church closing for refurbishment until that has been officially announced to the public.
