Weekly Assignments
*Packets go home Monday and are turned in on Friday. Monday- Counting by 2s worksheet, missing number. Tuesday- Valentine worksheet
I would like to give the parents a huge thank you for helping out with our field trip to the Ocala Discovery Center, Insects are Icky. I think the kids really enjoyed the field trip and making the cute bug crafts. We would not be able to enjoy such fun field trips without your help. There are a few field trip reminders we like to review halfway through the year:
*All students must be in a booster seat for school fieldtrips. *All students must wear a seat belt while in the car. * There is no cell phone use allowed while on a field trip. *If you want to chaperone a field trip you must complete the paperwork in class and in the office to go on the field trip. If that is not complete before we leave you will be unable to attend. *All money must be paid for in advance of the field trip for your child or you to attend. Again, thank you all for your help and support. You make these activities possible.
Wednesday- Vowel worksheet Thursday- Read 2 books with someone you love, write them on your book log.
Reading
This week we will continue to practice the sound of short /e/. This is the most difficult vowel for students; please help them practice listening for the short /e/ sound as in egg and elephant.
Math We will be talking about even and odd numbers, and counting by 2s to 100. We will also be reviewing counting by 5s and 10s to 100. Social Studies This week we will learn more about the presidents role in our country. We will also learn about previous presidents and why they are important.
*Please read with your child every night. Doing so gives them a head start at learning to read.
