What location has an effect on the evaporation rate?

Evaporation

Question
Will the water evaporate faster in direct sunlight or outside in the environment?

Hypothesis
The

water will evaporate faster outside because generally water evaporates in the environment.

Doing the Experiment

Put water in different locations Measured everyday A-In kitchen next to sunny window, no air con B-Outside in shade C-Upstairs in no air con or window (Generally warmer upstairs) D-In air con E-Outside in sunshine

Conclusion
My hypothesis was wrong, because the water evaporated faster in the kitchen. I noticed that some of the cups evaporated at the same time I wonder how that happened? Also they moved slowly at first then they speeded up a bit, which was interesting.

Theory
Water

evaporates faster in direct sunlight rather than outside. If I would continue I would try putting them all in direct sunlight but in different areas.
