    FINISHING PROCESS:

    1.

    Remove any deep scratches or excess solder with a file: Coarsest: Second cut Smoothest: Fine cut

    2.

    Now use emery paper:

    Before you move down onto each finer grade you must have removed all obvious marks. COARSE 600 800.. 1,000.... 1,200.... FINE Very fine polishing papers can be used after this.

    3. If applying a textured finish with hammers etc: Anneal, quench, pickle and use hammers now.

    4.

    If applying a high polished finish: Use polishing motor (either static or hand held) i. Use Tripoli and a felt mop. then ii. Use Jewellers Rouge and a calico mop.
