to use the past tense to express feelings. Students will be able to match pictures and concepts. Resources: Whiteboard, whiteboard marker, dictionary, worksheet. Class Introduction Students discuss the contents of last class. Core of the class Pre-stage Students comment on events in their life that made them feel something special. While-stage Students work on the worksheet. Students match pictures and complete short sentences. Students identify new vocabulary and look for definitions in their dictionaries. Post-stage Students check their answers. Students, with the aid of the teacher, construct a chart with information about the past tense. Closing Students copy the chart in their copybooks, ask questions about the past tense and answer direct questions about its usage. Time Comments Level: 7th Grade
