Make students use specific vocabulary. Make students practice pronunciation. Activity checked in the board.

Core of the class Pre-stage Students are presented with the modal 15 verbs could/couldnt. minutes Students create examples to use the verbs. While-stage Students read a text and identify key vocabulary items. Students look at pictures and create sentences according to them using could and couldnt.

30 minutes

Students practice spelling. Students practice pronunciation. Students practice writing.

Post-stage Students check their answers with the 15 teacher. minutes Students comment on the sentences they can create using can, cant, could and couldnt. Closing Students check the contents of the class by asking questions and answering direct questions on the usage of could and couldnt.

Students practice grammar. Students practice pronunciation. Make students improve their skills.
