Sound of Music Carnival Diary Fund Raising Committee News

Well, preparations and rehearsals are reaching the final stage now and we are on schedule for the opening night of 25th September! There are a few non performing vacancies to be filled: Backstage: Prompt; Call Person; Dressers; Chaperones; Propmaster If you can help with these or know of anyone who can please call us on 0845 87 38338 or mail info@kdts.co.uk Finally, if you have any RAFFLE PRIZES you could donate, please let us know!!

Carnival

was

an

outstanding

success for our society. We had over 20 helpers, gave out over 1000 leaflets and won 1st prize for our float. It was one of the biggest carnivals for a long time and loads of people lined the streets to watch. What a day!

Congratulations to all and thank you for your help on a long hot sweltering afternoon!

And a big no a HUGE thank you to Mark Wood from Walls and Floors for lending us the lorry and for driving us around.

DIARY
Aug 25th Coffee Morning at Toller Church.10am-12pm We made over 50! Thanks to all those who helped and thanks to all those who came along for a tea cake and coffee! November 17th Craft fair. Following the fantastic success of last years fair we are planning another Christmas Craft fair at the Castle Theatre Wellingborough. The committee would be very grateful for any helpers, More information soon. If you cant help then come along and spend, spend, spend! Bring the kids too as Santa will be making an early visit!!

Fund raising
As always for any society, fund raising is an important issue and it is no different for us. If anyone has any other suggestions for fund raising events, wed love to hear from you! Please Help finance the Sound of Music Programme! Buy an advert and promote your business! Sponsor a page See Eileen for details but hurry the deadline is approaching fast!

Sponsorship
In the Strictly Musicals programme, performers and friends sponsored a page. It was a successful fund raising idea. If you would like to do this for the Sound of Music please see Susan Moloney.
